Chuck II - INTERACTIVE LAUNCH

The original Chuck Taylor became a symbol of creative rebellion, worn by generations of artists, musicians, and makers who carved their own path. But even icons evolve. To show that it’s sequel, Chuck Taylor II was Ready for More, we created the "Il Tests", a series of performance-driven films capturing artists pushing their craft to new limits. We collaborated with three artists at the edge of their disciplines.


HO9909

In our first "Il Tests", we made an interactive promo and music video featuring rap freak band H09909. When viewers turned off the lights, our video would cut to an alternate, glow in the dark world giving them a more intense experience. The video changed from shadow to neon depending on the lighting of your environment, which is detected through your webcam.

On the Roofs

Our second Il Test featured Russian climbers and photographers Vadim and Vitaly, aka “On the Roofs”.

An extended-scroll experience let users “climb” a building at their own pace, unlocking interactive moments like 360° views, drone footage, and stunning photography along the way. Pre-production concepts, including motion-triggered views, were refined in build to create a fully immersive ascent.

13th Witness

For our final wear test, we challenged the photographer 13th Witness to take our sneaker to set up the most daring shot possible.

As 13th Witness takes us through his creative process and sets up his next shot, the interactive film cuts to livestream, allowing audiences to control his camera and become a collaborator in his art.
